Divorce Mediation is a viable alternative to litigation when divorcing your spouse. Collaborative efforts are adopted to give your divorce a fair and equitable outcome so you can begin your new redirected life with integrity. DACC provides a neutral third-party to help guide you through the process by reaching a fair and equitable settlement for each individual.
Mediation is becoming a popular solution to dissolving a marriage where you can decide on the decisions that best fit your family lifestyle. Disputes and conflicts may arise during this process along with stress and frustration, however, climbing above the negativity and resolving such conflicts will give you control over your post-divorce outcome.
Negotiating through the various items required by the court system can be achieved by attending one or multiple sessions until all subjects are agreed upon in a fair and equitable manner. Once all items are in agreement, DACC will prepare a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)* documenting your agreements. Listed below are just a few of the main subjects required for a successful mediation case:
- Children (Preparation of what is called a 'Parenting Plan')
- Marital Dwelling
- Household Contents
- Insurances (Health, Dental, Vision, Life)
- Tax Filings
DACC will work on behalf of both of you in collaborating a fair and equitable dissolution of your marriage. Once the MOU is accepted, the specifics within will form the basis of your court agreement and the terms should be entered by the court in your final divorce decree.
*Memorandum of Understanding may be reviewed by an attorney if desired.
